Duchesss Mine Trail is located near to Columbia, CA. This is a loop with views of New Melones Reservoir. The trail takes hikes past the remnants of the Duchess Mine, which operated during the gold era. It also takes hikes to onto a potion of Table Mountain, which is a 10 million year old lava flow that exhibits inverted topography, the lava formed in the paleo channel  of the Stanislaus River, which now is the high spot on the landscape.
